WHATABURGER - BACON STEAKHOUSE DOUBLE

Our clients tapped us to create a campaign for a fancier Whataburger - with fancier ingredients like crispy onions, aged cheddar, and a new sauce.
After a quick look at what other “steakhouse burgers” had to bring to the table, it was clear we weren’t going to go with the classic “this is cheaper than a steakhouse” approach. We landed on a creative focus that ran a little deeper and simpler: Any occasion is a special occasion, and these flavors are a special occasion in themselves.

We created a sparkly :30 featuring a head waiter we affectionately dubbed Georgie behind the scenes, waxing poetic about the true difference between a need and a want.

Spoiler: they’re not that different.

We grabbed some extra footage during shoot day of Georgie just.. biding his time, and put together a teaser to whet appetites before the burger released.

And then, the real fun: the talent for Georgie had a penchant for going rogue, so we gave him a theme cue and rolled our iPhone cameras to grab some (admittedly chaotic, and dumb, and so, so fun) social content. Buckle up.
