WHATABURGER REWARDS

Whataburger came to us to give their newly-refurbished loyalty program some serious celebration. Points on everything! Redeemable for anything on the menu! Wow!

We wrote about a thousand scripts, and were feeling good - then leadership suggested: what about a song?

Thus began a very fun, very loose exploration of jingles - what even were they, and what would this one sound like? Conceptually, idea of “rewards” is one that builds: you get some food, and get some points along with it. And with those points, you get more food. And then more points, and so on. Which reminded me of a childhood song that I thought everyone knew: “There’s a hole in the bottom of the sea … There’s a flea on the wing of the fly on the frog on the bump on the log in the hole in the bottom of the sea!”

My partner and I laid down some rough audio (so fun), sang it to client, and sold in a song! And then we gave it to some real musicians at Butter to make it great.

At the same time, our animation parters at Lobo went buck wild on creating an orange-and-white Rewards World. A feast for the eyes!

Then, we took our awesome visuals and sound, and made a version with our recognizable Whataburger narration.
